We wish to recognize Cheryl Allen and Tom Valentini for a job well done on a very difficult transfer from Cooley Dickenson Hospital to Bay State. We received several very positive comments regarding their clinical skills and the personal demeanor. Thank you both for representing our company so well.

We wish to recognize Nick Lambert and Ramsey Johnson for a job well done. We have received positive feedback from two facilities regarding their compassion and professionalism when dealing with difficult patients. Nice job guys!

We would like to encourage all employees to support Charlie Phipps in his effort to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Charlie will participate in the MDA "Lock-Up" on May 23 rd , and will be incarcerated until he raises bail of $1300.00. We realize some of you may feel Charlie might "deserve" to be locked up but let’s help him get out jail because we don’t have anyone to cover his shift on the 25 th . For details on how you can help get Charlie out of jail, please email him at cphipps@ambcare.com .

We want to congratulate Rich Roode for his role in Clark University’s "Endgame".
That explains the beard!

If anyone is interested in acquiring Chocolate Lab puppies please contact Lisa Breault at lbreault@ambcare.com .

Facility News
Our growth and business trends dictates that we make geographical adjustments to our operational setup. Therefore our Marlborough Base will be sold in the next month or so. We are in search of our next facility and are considering several options at this time. It is safe to say it will be in the Worcester area and the new commute should not represent a hardship to our employees. This move represents a positive move forward for our company as we have outgrown our current facility from an administrative standpoint.

Employee News
Springfield based Paramedic Cheryl Allen, is being recognized and honored by the Western Massachusetts Emergency Services Committee for an emergency call on December 19,2006 in the City of Chicopee.  At the May 15th Hampden County Awards Ceremony, the Hampden County EMS Committee will present Cheryl with a certificate recognizing her high level of care that is being credited with saving the patient's life. Thank you Cheryl for your dedicated and professional service.

Worcester based EMT Nick Lambert is being honored on May 1st at the Central Massachusetts OEMS banquet being held at the Beechwood Hotel, as the Central Mass EMT of the year. Since Nick returned from his tour in Iraq last year, he has consistently been recognized by facilities for his patient care and for the manner in which he interacts with facility staff and patients. We have a Worcester facility that always specifically requests Nick and Ramsey Johnson be the crew that handles all of their section 12's because of their calm demeanor and compassionate approach to troubled patients. When asked about his incredible ability to handle difficult section 12 patients Nick very humbly replied, "takes one to know one".......We wish it was that simple!

We also want to recognize the fine efforts of our Director of Operations for his fine work on the Ambulance Committee in the Town of Sturbridge. Due largely to Tom Mapplebeck's efforts, the Town is now seriously looking into adding a Paramedic level service in the Town. Congratulations Tom for taking your EMS skills and your ability to stir the pot..........outside of the workplace for the betterment of the community at large.

We want to express our well wishes to Dave Wiggins. Dave's been a little under the weather of late but nothing can keep our big guy down for too long. It will be great to have you back Dave.

We also want to wish Heather Franklin a speedy recovery from her back surgery.  "Someone" in Millbury can't wait for you to come back.
